Grace is all-sufficient power 2Co 12:9 ...My grace is sufficient...that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Grace enables business to be transacted in the spiritual realm with visible effects on earth

                1Co 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which [was bestowed] upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

THINGS YOU CAN DO REGARDING GRACE

                Be justified Tit 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

                Receive it (comes from Christ's bank account) Joh 1:16 And of his fulness have we all received, and grace for grace.

                Receive in vain 2Co 5:21 be made the righteousness of God in him 6:1 as workers...receive not the grace of God in vain

                Have it & serve God Heb 12:28 ...let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence & fear

                Continue in it to use it Ac 13:43...persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

                Be established/strengthened Heb 13:9 ...heart be established with grace; not with meats,

                Stand in it by faith Ro 5:2...have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, & rejoice in hope of the glory of God

                Be strong (2 results) 2Ti 2:1...be strong in the grace 2...commit thou to faithful men, 3 Thou therefore endure hardness...

                Get a 2nd blessing of it 2Co 1:15 in this confidence I intended to come to you before, that ye might have a second grace

                Leave it unfinished and unabounded (pogo stick) 2Co 8:6-8 that ye abound in this grace also.

                Fall from grace Ga 5:4 Christ is become of no effect to you...ye have fallen from grace.

                Ignore grace Heb 10:29 Of how much more severe punishment, despite to the Spirit of grace?

                Fail grace Heb 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God...bitterness...many be defiled;

                Pervert grace Jude 1:4 ...turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, Jesus Christ.

                God's intent is that grace be multiplied 1Pe 1:2 ...Grace to you, and peace, be multiplied.

                Grow in grace 2Pe 3:17 seeing ye know...beware...fall from your own steadfastness. 18 But grow in grace & knowledge

THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH GRACE

Be Saved - by unmerited favor, by His efforts and power, by favor out of proportion to the effort expended on our part Ac 15:11

Minister Ac 14:26 commended to the grace of God for work they fulfilled.Ro 1:5...received grace & apostleship for obedience of faith... 1Cor 12:6 Having gifts differing according to the grace that is given let us...according to the proportion of faith;

Minister as steward 1Pe 4:10 received the gift...minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God

Enrich yourself Ac 20:32 ...word of his grace...able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all the sanctified.

Enrich others 2Co 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord...for you he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Go beyond natural ability 2Co 8:1-3 abounded to the riches...liberality... and even beyond [their] power

Give supernaturally 2Co 9:7 give...God makes all grace abound to you; always having all... in all may abound to every good work:

Inherit it 1Pe 3:7 husband... according to knowledge, giving honor to the wife...and as being heirs together of the grace of life

Set hope on it 1Pe 1:10 Of this salvation...prophesied of the grace [that should come] to you: 13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope perfectly/to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

WHEN HIS GRACE IS DISPLAYED GOD IS GLORIFIED

(inherent in His manifestation)

Grace results in God's glory 2Co 9:11-13 they glorify God for your professed subjection to the gospel of Christ...

Grace must be displayed 2Co 4:15...that the abundant grace may through the thanksgiving of many abound to the glory of God.

Grace energized work glorifies 2Th 1:11-12...Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace

HOW DO YOU GET MORE GRACE?

Ask with confidence Heb 4:16 come boldly to the throne of grace...we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Humbly depend upon God Jas 4:6 more grace...God resists the proud, gives grace to the humble. 7 Submit...Resist... 1Pe 5:5

Know God 2Pe 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you through knowledge of God...power given to us called to glory & virtue

Perceive it by means of the truth Col 1:6 ...heard...and knew the grace of God in (ev) truth:

Questions for Reflection/Discussion/Response:

1. Does God stop being just in order to be gracious? Basis for your answer? Why do some folks think/act like that is the case?

2. Do you view more as a stewardship of power or a “escape-consequences-get-out-of-trouble-free” liscence to sin (live irresponsibly)?

3. Is a person who believes in “free grace” more or less likely to live of life of sacrificial rewardable obedience and love?

4. How does a person indicate that they are recipients of God’s grace? How does one contribute to the “praise of His grace”?

5. How will you grow in grace this week, and use God’s grace to triumph victoriously over trials, living observably for God’s glory?
