I. God Has A Will/Desire For Us That He Expects Us To Know And Do    Gen 4:7   Phil 2:13-14 to will and to do

Mt 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Mk 3:35 whoever does the will of God is My brother/sister/mother." Eph 6:6 bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,
Lk 7:30  But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the will of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him. Mt 12:15 sign

A. God has an Objective will for us, expressed in commands dealing with our sanctification, holiness, glorifying obedience

Gal 1:4  gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, acc to the will of our God  Eph 1:5,9,11 Mt 6:13 Heb 10:22; 3:12
1Thess 4:1 how you ought to walk and to please God 3  this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality 
2Tim 2:21 if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.
1Thess 5:18  (preceding context…) in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (holy =separate/different)
1Pt 2:15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good…3:17 better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
Col 1:28            preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
Eph 4:20 learned Christ 21 taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus 22 that you put off the old man, former conduct, defiled by way of beguiling lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man created acc to God in true righteousness and holiness

B. God frequently has a Subjective will for us, relating to decisions we face, rooted in the principles of wisdom, pursued by faith

Something is of faith when we understand it to be God’s revealed will Rom 14:23…whatever is not from faith is sin.  Isa 30 (v21 voice)
Daily decisions Pr 8:34  Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. Pr 8:2-3
God’s will extends to everyday business life Js 4:15 Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that."

Pr 3:1 keep commandments 3 write on your heart 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. Jer 9:23-24

that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and judgment, that YHWH may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him
