Jude 19 (Lordship denying) not having the Spirit (indwelling) 20 pray in HS Rm 8:9 HS dwells in you. not have the Spirit (indwelling), he is not His/of Him

I. The Holy Spirit of Truth convicts of sin, righteousness, judgment and  guides apostles/believers into all Truth

Jn 16:8 when the Helper has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, 'cs they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, 'cs I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, 'cs the ruler of this world is judged.

13  when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; 14 He will glorify Me...what is Mine and declare it to you

II. The HS can be Resisted (proud unrepentance) Grieved (bad Body behavior)  Quenched (despise prophecy) by not abiding in Vine/Word/Truth

Acts 7:51 You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you. 52 prophets..persecute? betrayers and murderers of Christ, 53 received the law by angels and have not kept it

1Thess 5:19 Do not quench Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast-good 22 Abstain from every form of evil

Eph 4:30 let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God (context Body unity,) by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption/reward

III. HS Saves, Seals and Sanctifies believers, and Builds the Body into a unified Temple that displays God's glory to the world

Eph 1:13 heard..believed..sealed by HS 17 God give the spirit of wisdom and revelation in/by the knowledge of Him 18...that you may know what is the hope of His calling..glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 greatness of His power toward us who believe

2:17 He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For thru Him we both (Jew/Gentile) have access by one Spirit to the Father.  19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, (cf 4:15-16) grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 

22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in/by the Spirit.

3:6 Mystery= Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same Body, and partakers of His promise in Christ thru the gospel,

3:14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family 

16  grant...strengthened with might thru His Spirit in the inner man 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts thru faith; 

that you, being rooted and grounded in love...18 comprehend with all the saints (the dimensions of love beyond self) 

19 know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 

20 acc to the power at work in us 21 be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations...ages

Eph 5:2 walk in love  8 walk in light-please God 9 fruit of HS = all goodness righteousness and truth 14 wake up to get light

5:18 filled/controlled by HS yields 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God 

6:10 be strong in the Lord and power of His might  11 Stand 14 Truth belt supports righteousness, unity (gospel of peace 2:17), faith  

17 take the helmet (hope 1Thess 5:8) of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end (unity) with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints 

IV. HS gives Power for a Pure Heart/Holiness, Ministry and Endurance to build the Body of Believers

Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem...

Gal 5:16 Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 22 Fruit of HS...24 those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (cf  6:14 world crucified to me and I to the world)  25 If we live by/in the Spirit, let us also walk by/in the Spirit.

6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; reap what sow: he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

1Pt 1:13 you purified your souls by obeying truth thru the Spirit eis sincere love of brethren, love one another fervently w/ a pure heart

2Cor 3:3 you are an epistle of Christ..written...by the Spirit of living God, not on stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart

Rm 8:4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk acc to the flesh but (walk) acc to the Spirit.

5 those who live acc to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live acc to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

9  not in flesh but in Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. if anyone not have the Spirit of Christ (indwelling), he is not His

11 if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you...give life to your mortal bodies thru His Spirit who dwells in you

13 you live acc to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

1Cor 12:7 manifestation of the Spirit is given to each for the profit of all   1Pt 4:10 minister to one another as good stewards of grace...

Rm 15:4 before were written for our learning, that we thru the steadfastness (Col 1:11) and encouragement of the Scriptures might have hope. 13 may God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit
