Deuteronomy Survey - These Words Are Your Life

1996-03-01 Deuteronomy Survey

Doubt and Destruction 1:1 These are the words which Moses spoke to all Israel on the east side of Jordan in the wilderness 21 Behold, the LORD thy God has set the land before you...26 However you would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God: 27 And you murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he has brought us forth from the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us. 28 brethren discouraged our heart...29...Dread not, neither be afraid of them. 30 The LORD your God who goes before you, he shall fight for you, as...he did for you in Egypt before your eyes; 32 Yet in this thing you did not believe the LORD your God,

Trials 2:30 Sihon would not let us pass: for the LORD hardened his spirit...heart obstinate, so he might deliver him into thy hand

Don't Forget 4:1 Hearken, O Israel, to the statutes and to the judgments, which I teach you, to do them, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers gives you. 2 You shall not add...nor diminish 9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest you should forget...seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them to thy sons, and thy sons' sons; 24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

4:26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish...27 And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations...29 But if from there you shalt seek the LORD thy God, you shalt find him], if you shalt seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. 30 When you art in tribulation, and all these things have come upon you...if you shalt turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient to his voice; 31 (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake you, neither destroy you, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he swore to them.

Shema 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5 And you shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command you this day, shall be in thy heart: 7 And you shalt teach them diligently to thy children, and shalt talk of them when you sit in thy house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. 6:25 It shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us.

Promisekeeper 7:7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all people: 8 But loved you, because he would keep the oath which he had sworn to your fathers, has the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; 10 And repays them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hate him, he will repay him to his face.

Provision 7:22 LORD will drive out nations before you little by little: not consume at once, lest the beasts of the field increase

8:3 humbled you, allowed hunger, and fed with manna,...know that man does not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedes out of the mouth of the LORD does man live. 4 Thy raiment not old neither has thy foot swelled, these forty years.

Perspective 8:17...say in thy heart, My power and might got me this wealth. 18 But you shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant...9:4 Speak not you in thy heart, after that the LORD thy God has cast them out from before you, saying, For my righteousness the LORD has brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD does drive them out from before you. 5 Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thy heart, do you go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God does drive them out from before you, and that he may perform the word which the LORD swore to thy fathers, Abraham...Jacob 6 Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God gives you not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for you art a stiffnecked people. 24 You have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you.

Big Five 10:12 And now, Israel, what does the LORD thy God require of you, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, 13 To keep the commandments of the LORD, and statutes, which I command you this day for thy good? 16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked. 17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible...

Prevention 11:16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and you turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; 18 Therefore lay up these my words in your heart and soul, bind them for a sign upon your hand...frontlets between your eyes. 19 And teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in thy house, and when you walk...lie down...rise up. 22 For if you shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave to him; 12:8 You shall not do...every man whatever is right in his own eyes.

Signs & Wonders 13:1 a prophet...give you a sign or a wonder, 2...shall come to pass...saying, Let us go after other gods, which you have not known, and let us serve them; 3 You shalt not hearken to the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God tempt you, to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

26:12 When you have finished tithing all the tithes of thy increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled...
